The theme for Men's Health Week this year is Physical Activity, and all men and boys are encouraged to 'Get up. Get out. Get going!' Men's Health Week gives everyone (health professionals, service providers, sporting bodies, community groups employers, policy makers, the media, individuals....) an opportunity to get involved.

The National Hearty Alliance and Irish Heart Foundation are launching their position paper on Physical Activity, Young People and the Physical Environment at the Orion Suite, Clarion Hotel, IFSC Dublin 1.
The opening address will be given by Mr Noel Dempsey, T.D., Minister for Transport.

The first strategic partnerships for health were formed around 20 years ago - intersectoral planning is recognised as an effective way of joining up agendas and resources and creating synergy.

This international conference aims to address a spectrum of key issues in preventative medicine, with high profile international speakers addressing current issues in Cardiology, Diabetes, Mental Health, Rheumatology, Respiratory Health, Ageing and Health Health Economics and Health Policy.
