This is a special workshop, one in a series involving SPARC working with organisations which share the mission to promote the value of scientific ageing-related research for older people and opportunities for further research. This workshop will cover a range of developments in the fields of health, housing, and technology and will have a special focus on activities in Ireland.
This conference will invite participants (from both Ireland and continental Europe) to discuss the above topic under a number of thematic headings. Its main aim will be to disseminate some of the good learning from North-South cooperation in Ireland - notably EU-funded cross-border projects - to a wider European audience. The conference will be opened by the Irish Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr Dermot Ahern TD, and a Northern Ireland Minister.
