24th All Ireland Social Medicine Meeting

This ever popular event will take place in the Burrendale Hotel, Newcastle Co. Down from Friday 20th March to Sunday 22nd March 2009.

The scientific programme of oral and poster presentations is complimented by an enjoyable social programme for delegates and their families. A dedicated children’s area close to the conference room will be provided. A supervised children’s programme for children 3 years and over will be provided if there is sufficient demand. Early booking for this is essential.

The Burrendale Hotel is located on the outskirts of Newcastle, Co. Down a popular seaside resort situated at the foot of the Mourne Mountains. The local area offers a range of activities for all ages, including hill walking and costal paths. Castlewellan Forest Park which boasts one of the biggest hedge mazes in the world is a short drive away. The shopping centres of Newry and Belfast are within easy reach.

Delegates wishing to stay overnight at the conference are asked to book their accommodation before 2nd March 2009 to ensure availability and secure the special rates detailed in the booking form.
