HIA Forum events in November

The HIA Forum provides an opportunity for those with an interest in HIA to meet, share experiences, hear about new developments and consider how to progress HIA.
The next series of HIA Forum events in November 2010 include:
* 4 November 2010, City Hall, Cork 1.00pm - 4.30pm
How HIA can support local government and health promotion action on sustainable travel
Co-hosted with HSE South, this event will present some practical examples of how HIA can be used to support sustainable travel. Guest speakers include Ian Winning, Cork City Council.
* 15 November 2010, Island Civic Centre, Lisburn, 1.30pm - 5pm
How HIA can support local government action on health inequalities?
This event will be co-hosted with the Public Health Agency as part of the Focus on Health Inequalities month. It will consider how HIA can be used as a tool to work with local government on health inequalities. Guest speakers include Dr Eddie Rooney and Mr Seamus Mullen, Public Health Agency and Mr Liam Hannaway, Banbridge District Council.
