Translating research into community action - seminar presentations available

in

20 Aug 2010

'Translating research into community action' , 20 August 2010 was organised in collaboration with the Centre of Excellence for Public Health (CoE), Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) and the Community Development and Health Network (CDHN). This work falls under the works stream Public Health Knowledge Integration and Knowledge Brokerage of the CoE which was created in 2008 to help bridge the gap between research, policy and practice, and embed CoE research into policy dilemmas.

The aim of the event was to improve on an existing relationship with CDHN that has been created by the CoE. The event brought together researchers and local community workers in a forum  initiating dialogue around the concept of ‘research translation cycle’ (devising the research question to the translation and dissemination of findings into the community).
