Policy analysis

The policy environment into which the proposal is being introduced needs to be understood by those conducting the HIA.  Understanding the proposal and where it sits in the wider social, economic, political and cultural policy context will help to inform the appraisal and ensure recommendations are appropriate.  The policy analysis tool provides a framework to review government and other relevant agency policy related to the proposal.
